2014 JGC Limited DLR/HID Conversion

Hello all,

I recently converted my halogen headlights to the updated DLR/HID headlights with the LED ribbon. These are freaking awesome and a lot of the credit goes to Jeep_addicted. He produced a harness that converted my original setup of halogens to the new stuff. He is a very busy guy but stick with him and he'll take care you. Great product, great stuff. Functions just like it came off the factory line.

Hey there. I was reading through the forums and came across your thread. I am on the waiting list for the exact same harness you have for the exact same jeep model you have from jeep_addicted. Just a few questions. Does your jeep throw error codes after the install of the harness? Does the DRL turn off when the turn signal is activated? Anything else I should know? Any pics by any chance? Thanks.

did you have to turn off your DRL's for these to function? I'm in Canada and can't turn them off, so if I have to, Im pretty much screwed. I hope you can help clarify if this will be a concern for me.

Thanks!

No. What package wiring harness did you get?

I actually haven't ordered anything yet, I was wondering if the "harness" will just plug into my factory halogen harness and function without having to tinker with the daytime running light setting.

Thanks!

On my 2011 I had to have the drl's deactivated by the dealer. I got lucky and have a pretty understanding service center, I promised them the drl's would work after the conversion. They essentially reflashed my jeep to be a US jeep, then were able to do it. Took less than an hour. Prior to the reflash, if just the drl's were on, the headlights would flicker on and off, had to drive for a while with headlights on, then they worked fine.

Keep in mind this was only applicable to my 2011, you would have to confirm if it's the same scenario on your 2014.

I may have the receipt somewhere in my garage if you need help, may be more detail on it...

Assume you're out east somewhere?

Good luck

I'm located in the GTA and confirmed with jeep_addicted that the DRL's would have to be turned off..

So I'm gonna put this project to sleep
for now.

Re: 2014 JGC Limited DLR/HID Conversion

Hi Everyone...

I just purchased a new 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the Halogen Headlights. I have read many posts online about the Halogen to HID conversion and I'm very interested in making the swap on my jeep. Obviously, it's not as simple as plug and play and a harness is required. Any information on exactly what I need to purchase and where I can purchase is greatly appreciated. The HID Headlights look so cool and I would love to have them on my Jeep - Please Help

Thank You -
