2014 JGC Overland nudge bar

Hi All,
I have just ordered my new 2014 Jeep grand cherokee overland, will be 6 months before I receive the vehicle. when I ordered it I requested to have a nudge bar installed for a light bar. Was told that no body makes a nudge bar for the MY14 due to the front sensors. Is this true? can you get one to suit the JCG with our diablling sensors in Australia?
I have seen the photos on the internet and also see them for sale on Ebay australia to suit MY14 so can they go on a overland with sensors?

Re: 2014 JGC Overland nudge bar

I just spoke to my local auto sparky who said they have done one, they said that they will have to remove 2 sensors from the bumper and put into the nudge bar, a little work but can be done, Will work out once car gets here to what I do.

Re: 2014 JGC Overland nudge bar

Bosco Auto are bringing one in, but as you say there is the issue of two parking sensors and a bigger issue, the ACC sensor.

I know some have talked of moving the sensors.
I wonder if you could simply cut/weld holes though the section required.
I am not sure how it would line up.

Here is the eBay listing I got this from

I would be more worried as to what it connects to?
The stock cross member is not sturdy enough, I replaced mine with a winch mount bar from rocky off road.

As to the sensors, take them out and drill a new hole for them in the nudge bar. If you need more wire, cut and add :-)
