2014 Overland Question - Interior colors

Hi all,

I have been waiting 12 weeks for my new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4 Diesel. Finally arrived. The only thing that threw me off, was that it had the shiny black wood instead of the open pore wood I saw on many that I test drive. Even one I drove that was black interior had the open pore wood.

Does anyone know why I would have received this shiny black wood versus the open pore wood I saw on others? My dealer didn't know why either. Thanks for any help.

You sure you weren't test driving the Summit and not an Overland?

I believe the open pore wood trim is only on the Summit. I have an Overland and the trim is as the OP described on his.

Thank you both. I thought it was an Overland but they had limited supply so it was hard to remember. Plus it was over 3 months ago (it took a while from order to delivery). It was hard to find online because it seems like every picture is of the Summit.

I appreciate your feedback. I just wanted to make sure I got what I paid for and it wasn't just changed due to interior color.

Thanks!

Re: 2014 Overland Question - Interior colors

It depends on the color of your interior.
Quote:
Overland interiors (Nappa leather seats)
BLACK (with Nador Brown Walnut wood trim) (Standard)
BROWN/LT.FROST (with Brown Zebrano open-pore wood trim) (Standard)
INDIGO BLUE/BROWN (with Brown Zebrano open-pore wood trim) (Standard)
If you got black, then it should be the shinier darker brown wood. Either of the other two get a slightly lighter brown wood with black streaks in it ("Zebra"no?) that has the open pore finish.

Thanks Rumline. Kind of wish I had the open pore (I think I looks so cool) and may have got the indigo / brown had I known. Part on ordering I guess. Dealer had no clue. I appreciate your info.
