Thanks. I am actually trying to figure out what the HID housings are. What kind of projectors are used.

Here are some examples between the difference in 5000K and 6000K. hard to tell in these pictures but the 6000K is more blue.

5000K

6000K

Re: 2014 replacing bulbs with LED's interior , replace headlamp/fog

Hey, so I got the Xenonmatch H11 from Hoen in the Mail and installed them. And I will say, they are definitely a whiter light, but can almost barely tell they are on unless it's completely dark out. Plus, they are not as HID looking as I'd like (when compared to the LED DRL's).

With that being said, I'm leaning towards getting the LED fog's now, probably the 5k ones since they sound like they match the DRL's the best.

My question is to those who have them, if you turn them on in daylight or dusk, can you clearly see them if you stand in front of the vehicle? Are they as bright as the DRL's in daylight/dusk?

Just curious how they are compared to the DRL's considering they are both LED's, I was thinking they should be the same brightness. But as I experienced with the Xenonmatch H11 Halogen Fogs, they are really Dim and hard to see on during the day/dusk time.

Here is a picture with the Xenonmatch H11 Halogons from Heon compared to the stock halogens.

Stock - Left ............ Xenonmatch - Right

As you can see, on the right, you can barely tell the Xenonmatch is even on. I mean, you can see the DRL's better in this pic and the car is in park (meaning the DRL's are dimmed and not even at their full brightness).

Re: 2014 replacing bulbs with LED's interior , replace headlamp/fog

I'm still interested in replacing the rear brake lights and rear turn signal to match the rear LED driving lights. Anyone know what bulbs the rear break lights/turn signals are?

Also, are they plug and play like the front fogs are? Can you just by the same bulb incandsent type in an LED format or do you have to rewire it completely for LED?

I finally got some time to change my fogs. Very easy install. Sorry for the horrible picture, but I only had my phone with me while doing the install. Left is factory, right is 5k H11

Any nighttime pics? I've always had good results with the hoen bulbs in my fogs with previous cars.

I actually bought the LED one's now and have them installed. The Heon's weren't that bad, at night they lit up pretty good and do put out more usable light with a slightly blue tint (much better looking than the stock). But I wanted something I could use during daytime/dusk hours as well and the LED's display much better through the fog light housing. I will say however the LED's do not put out much usable light as others have mentioned. But the coloration is much better matched with the DRL's so they look better aesthetically.

If I ever do a long road trip I will probably put the Hoen's back in as they actually put out more usable light, but for now around town, I will stick with the 5k LED's for the aesthetic look.

The hoen's might not have matched perfectly with the headlight LED's but more with the HID's. They're rated around 4000k on their site. They at least put out a whiter light compared to the tired looking factory bulbs and usable light. I'm going to switch to the hoen endurance bulbs in the winter months, but i really like the clean look the 5k LED's add to the truck.
