Use a very thin flathead screwdriver to pop the tab. Put it in the middle of the inside edge of the cover - it comes right off. Very easy once you see how it comes off and pops in.

Is it just a festoon style vanity bulb?

Re: 2014 replacing bulbs with LED's interior , replace headlamp/fog

Here is what I used - it is a little smaller and thinner than most of the festoon style bulbs. Plus, this one only has 1 led in it, which is more than enough light. I got cool white to match the rest of the lights (I changed all the bulbs with cool white led's from superbrightleds.com)

Re: 2014 replacing bulbs with LED's interior , replace headlamp/fog

I replaced my front map lights today with a pair of SMD LEDs component discussed here: 2014 replacing bulbs with LED's interior , replace headlamp/fog

Soldering the SMD LED was a pain. If I had to do it again, I would get some LED PCB Connector Adapters (solderless) which would convert the ribbon cable to two wire and some 5mm Cool White component LEDs with metal leads. It's a lot easier to solder wire to metal leads than it is to solder ribbon cable. I'm not sure which LED PCB Connector Adapters would fit as I didn't measure the width of the ribbon connectors but it would make it easier to go back to factory.

Some notes:
  • The Notch side of the SMD LED is negative
  • The ribbon cable lead with writing on it is negative
  • You can test the LEDs by taping two AA batteries together and a wire on each end. Touch the wires to either side of the LED. Touch the wires to the end of the ribbon cable once you have your soldering done (make sure your touching the right contacts for the LED you are testing.

Re: 2014 replacing bulbs with LED's interior , replace headlamp/fog

Here is what I used for my Interior LED bulb replacement:
  • Front dome lights: 2x Putco 980112 Universal LED Dome Light (from my previous car)
  • Passenger lights: 1x Putco 230194W-360 LED 360-Degree, 2pc
  • Foot Well lights: 1x Putco 230194W-360 LED 360-Degree, 2pc
  • Glove Box Light: 1x Putco 230194W-360 LED 360-Degree, 2pc
  • Hatch Lights: 1x Putco 280003W Type T White LED Stick Bulb, 2pc (really bright)
I'm really happy with the Cool White interior LEDs. I forgot just how hot bulbs can get but I got a reminder when I was taking them out.

I replaced the fog lights with Hoen Xenonmatch lights today. I took pictures but they are no good... But I can say the Hoen lights look real nice. Just as advertised, an exact match of the stock Xenon "whiteness".

What is the wattage rating on them?

Steve

Are you sure? The Hoen website indicates that their H11 bulbs are 70W?

55w is mentioned on their site and it's printed on the light itself, on the plug area
