That's weird. Exact bulbs I bought but mine don't light up the drive like that.

I read that 80% of bulbs sold on sites are knock offs. Not saying yours are, but something to think about. I will get photos with my D4 when I get time. That should represent it to the best it can be. Or film it in some 4K.

It came in the Phillips and putco box. Looked legit?? Was bought on and sold by Amazon. Still had credit so went that route

Re: 2014 replacing bulbs with LED's interior , replace headlamp/fog

I have 2 questions.

First, for the reverse LEDs why does everyone goes with the Philips 921 and the Putco 7440? I see Xenon Depot has Philips 7440 and they are half the price like the 921s. Any thoughts.

Second, the front light high, low, fog halogens. Are people's just going with the Philips Crystalvision because that's what Xenon Depot has? Has anyone had any experience with the sylvania silverstar zxe?

I don't have any issues with going with the same set up since it looks light no one has any issues. But it just got me thinking.

Looks great, but why didn't you do the footwell lights?

For the interior bulbs how are you guys getting around the issue of the individual bulbs not lighting up when you turn one on? I am finding that with a regular 194 LED bulb you cant just turn one of them on...it wont turn on because its not drawing enough current for the system to turn it on. You can override this by turning ALL the lights on with the switch by the headlight switch, but who wants to do that all the time?

So my question is, are you guys buying can-bus LED 194s to cure this? My research shows that the can-bus bulb has a built in resistor that simply makes it so the bulb draws the same amount of power as the original bulb would...thus allowing it to turn on anytime you want. I assume this would fix my issue. SO are you guys buying the can-bus bulbs or not? I have tried multiple 194 LEDs in two different WK2s and they both do the exact same thing so I know you guys have to have the same issue as well, but I don't see how you guys could just "deal with it".

Wait a second... Your individual LED lights don't turn on in your jeep?

I have tested mine for 3 or 4 nights in a row without any issue.

Very strange

Well I haven't tried with the Jeep on and running, but say if you are just in your Jeep and you want to turn on just one bulb, it usually wont go on.

Try this. Go outside or in your garage and get in your Jeep. Don't start it or do anything. Close the door and wait a bit for all the lights to fade off and the electronics to go off like the gauge cluster lights, shifter lights, and push start button. Then try turning on your overhead light (not the small factory map light)..one of the LEDs you installed. It probably wont go on. My 2014 Summit did this, and so does my 2015 HA. I have tried multiple brands of non-canbus 194 LEDs. They all do the same. So I'm thinking a canbus 194 LED should takl care of that.

I will try that now.

But before I do lol, I will say that I am never in my cars at night and only need just one light one without the car being turned on hahaha. I am pretty certain your prediction will be correct, but i will humor myself and go out and check.
