Anyone do this yet? Trying to think of the best way to mount the ballasts. I've only had the car for a day so I don't know whats going on behind the bumper.

Don't think there is a step-by-step guide. It's not too difficult, you have to turn the wheel outward to have more room to reach under the bumper while laying on the ground. I used a flash light to peek under the bumper to see what was going on before i reached under. Once you take a look and see where the fog lamp is you'll have to change the bulb by feel. Unplug the connecter first. There's two tabs on each side.

Factory HID's are 4300k.

I don't know how well these small housings in the 2014's will handle HID's..I've heard about foglamps melting if they're plastic. Anyone want to be a test mule, lol Personally i would want to see what the housing is made of first.

Going to swap all the LEDs inside too while I'm at it. The tag light already is LED, anyone know of the top of their head if the reverse lights are LEDs?
No, the backup light bulbs are incandescent just like the brake/turn bulbs.

in order to replace them and for them to have the same color?

also I can not seem to find the 194 wedge bulbs... got a link?
Can anyone confirm my above post about the H11s for both headlights and fog? Also can someone provide a link to the 194 bulb that worked for them?

Thanks guys

No, you don't want to run LED's in the headlights. They don't put out enough usable light. Not sure if the headlights are H11, take one out to make sure.

So you recommend getting h11 HID conversion kit from xenon depot instead? Still will probably do the interior lights in LED so that's why I need the 194 wedge link

Re: 2014 replacing bulbs with LED's interior , replace headlamp/fog

Hi,

You definitely don't want to install LED bulbs in the headlights as they will not offer you the light output that you need. The nice thing about the 2014 is that if an HID kit along with the factory projector headlamps makes it look like you have factory installed HID lights (as long as you stick with 4300k or 5000k).

Let me know if you have any questions about upgrading your vehicle's headlights to HID.

I am still waiting for someone to put an HID kit in the new fog light projectors. Would love to see the output they have. I assume the look would be just like the LED's but have actual usable light

HI,

Yes, the color would be similar but you will get approximately 3 times more light than your stock H11 halogen bulbs when upgrading to HID.

I've already done it. Lows and Fogs with 6000k.

FYI 2014 fog lamps are not psx bulbs

HID lows and fogs done!
