Don't think there is a step-by-step guide. It's not too difficult, you have to turn the wheel outward to have more room to reach under the bumper while laying on the ground. I used a flash light to peek under the bumper to see what was going on before i reached under. Once you take a look and see where the fog lamp is you'll have to change the bulb by feel. Unplug the connecter first. There's two tabs on each side.
Factory HID's are 4300k.

I don't know how well these small housings in the 2014's will handle HID's..I've heard about foglamps melting if they're plastic. Anyone want to be a test mule, lol
Personally i would want to see what the housing is made of first.
