2014 SRT8 Hood converion to 2015 HA

has anyone else besides SKUNK'D who is banned for life try this swap? he had mentioned that " you do need some different small parts to complete the install (about 100 dollars worth) but it is bolt on no modifications." does anybody know what the small parts are? im planning to swap my hood out in a couple of weeks and want to make sure i have everything that is needed. any info would be greatly appreciated

The srt hood is a direct bolt on...the only things that are different are the parts that go on the underside of the hood...if you choose to use the factory padding and washer parts and stuff that's all you need...if you buy a used hood you'll prob have everything you need unless the person ripped the parts off.

just saw the problem thread. yeah, maybe telling the founder of the forum he has no idea what he's talking about and doesn't know how to internet wasn't a great idea.

sorry for the derail, last thing i'll post on the subject. these hoods look cool. if someone wants to send me one, i'd be happy to test and see if they fit on a '16 HA

Re: 2014 SRT8 Hood converion to 2015 HA

you cant keep a good man (ajag) down! people do take things a little too personal, that's for sure. I also think that we from the northeast are so sarcastic and our sense of humor is dry; sometimes people see that as being a d***, but usually that's not the case. we are usually looking for banter, laughs, and smiles. I had a post removed which I took personally because the previous posts should have been removed for subject matter, the fact is that when I stated what I did, it was removed the next day... so, again, forums are subjective to the eyes of the beholder.

to fit the srt hood on the ecodiesel all you have to do is make a simple small bracket for the coolant tank and rotate it towards the middle/center of engine. there is a write up on here somewhere.

Re: 2014 SRT8 Hood converion to 2015 HA

To set the record straight and not that it matters...there are two sides to every story. Ive seen several bring this to light. He was only banned for 24 hours....BUt then broke multiple forum rules by making alternate IDs to continue his tirades. Then he went on to post publicly on IG about his problems here and berate and call me and others silly names. Real adult! He has even made silly ids since then to spam the forum....ie. beepbeepgayinajeep. He made his own bed by being childish. Maybe you guys should get the whole story before passing judgement. And to be fair...no mod he did...hasnt already been done years ago...so the knowledge was here...not with him.
