2014 Summit lower fascia removal

Has anyone removed just the lower fascia on the summit? The manual states to do it when off roading to increase approach angle. I have seen the overland without its fascia on trails. Wanted to see how much it would increase on the summit since the fascias are different.

Any pics of it removed on the summit?
Assume it is the seven 1/4-turn fasteners and it falls off, correct? Any trick to remounting?

I don't think you can remove the lower facia on the summit model . At least not technically . If you really want to go off roading in very steep cliffs and hills , you need to get a overland .

Re: 2014 Summit lower fascia removal

I will not be going up steep cliffs in this one and I do not want an Overland.

More curious that if I had to remove when on a trail, would it work. Also could possibly put recovery hooks of sorts behind the fascia so I do not have to cut out holes.

If you were thinking of using a 2014 Summit off road, you got the wrong model.

That is a right and wrong statement. Doesn't it depend on what level of off-roading? The front fascia is slightly more than the other models (cutting approach angle) but the side skirts and rear are pretty much the same (look at an overlay). The skids and off tires can be added.

Not a rock crawler - but neither am I. It is not as optimal as the other models from the showroom floor but it is pretty capable.
