Are the roof rails easy to take off? Instructions anywhere?

Yeah, I was thinking vinyl for the window trim. I just hope they do a good job and it looks good.

Yes the roof rails come off very easily

Get a T30 torx and remove 4 bolts from each rail

Then slide them back and lift them off.

There is also a nylon rive that holds the stainless to the plastic it is not necesary for reinstallation.

Woops, ya I meant 32" tires not wheels. Glad they don't rub, I plan to do something similar.

Very cool. I'll have to give that a try. Thanks.

Sorry,I just don't get it. A lot of the price you paid was for the unusual and elaborate chrome trim and lower body moldings that made the Summit unique. Glad you like it ,but I don't get it. Just my opinion.

Funny I think the chrome looks like cheap plastic garbage that should be black.
Lol. As I'm sure someone might think a full tattoo sleeve doesn't look good. That's
The best part about customizing. Your body or ur car.

I considered getting the Overland. Either way I'd have to do modifications. With Overland I'd still want to get rock rails, upgrade the sound system, and still had to get rid of a lot of the chrome.

Re: 2014 Summit Modifications so far

Awesome looking mods on the Summit. I think it'll look just right if the rest of the chrome comes off.

Curious why you didn't do everything from the paint shop and did some plasti dip? I'd just go with one or the other. But either way, good work and I'm looking forward to seeing further additions.

At first I was thinking I would have to do that because I didn't think plastidip would be durable enough. I did the mirror covers just to test it out and they looked really good and did not come off even after taking the Jeep through car washes.

After that I decided to just do what was left with plastidip because it's cheaper and I like the way it looks. There's some parts, like the chrome rings in the grille, that would be difficult to re-do if the plastidip came off so i had those painted.

I see.

I was similarly overly impressed with the plasti dip and its durability after first testing it. Now the bug has bit me and my new wheels are up next.
