See me earlier post. Cut the wheels and you'll be fine

Re: 2014 Summit Mud Guards

One more thing that I forgot to ask about. I have a 2015 Summit. Has anyone installed the Husky Mud Flaps on a 2015 Summit? If so do they fit okay? I don't believe there were any changes from the 2014 but Husky (or Auto Anything for that matter) don't show Mud Flaps for the 2015 Summit. I don't want to order them and find out later they don't fit.

Fairly easy install. Just get a stubby short screwdriver. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1419448456.045746.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1419448490.932146.jpg

Did you use the clear vinyl that came with?

Re: 2014 Summit Mud Guards

I did. I applied it in the outside of the flare to protect it from scratching by the flap if I ever wanted to take them off. Nice detail by Husky.

Here is one of the guards done in Anthracite Grey plasti dip. I didn't add the glossifier. Not sure if I will. I'm going to install them as is. If I get the urge later I can spray em while they are attached.

Match is close to the granite. In person they are maybe a shade darker.

And here are some quick pics of them installed along with the running boards. Once I wash the girl I'll take some better pics.

Re: 2014 Summit Mud Guards

Good news for those of us that have a 2015 Summit. I spoke to Steve Bower, Engineering Manager at Husky and he told me that last week they verified that the mud guards do indeed fit the 2015 Summit. I asked him why their website states that the guards will not fit the 2015 Summit and he replied that they will soon update the website (but can't tell me when that will happen). However he assured me that they checked the fit on a 2015 Summit model and that they do indeed fit.

Re: 2014 Summit Mud Guards

Having some trouble getting them up here in Canada......they are on back-order through Lordco. Hopefully will be in when I get back home from work in 8 days.

Re: 2014 Summit Mud Guards

I see the clear vinyl body protector that they sent.. how can you tell where to put it on the body? I think the pieces are Die cut but I don't see how to pair them up to the vehicle.. working on the rear ones right now!

Thanks!

I couldn't be bothered. It was/is so cold here that fighting with those things in my unheated garage wasn't worth the pain. I did one, screwed one up, took the first one off. No issues to report :P
