Has anyone found good mud guards for 2014 JGC SUMMIT? The present MOPAR ones for 2014 JGC will not fit the SUMMIT. MOPAR told me they did not know when they would be out. Thanks for any info.

Thanks for the info.

I again checked at dealership and learned that nothing is available for Summit yet. The parts guy said that with the changes to the contours on the Summit they sometimes wait to determine demand before they spend the money on engineering a new fit. They do not want to spend the money if they cannot sell enough

Sent email to Mopar asking the status of if or when they will have summit mud guards. Husky will fit the rear only and I would think the Jeep OEM rear only might work also. I am calling Husky manufacturer Monday. I need these since I am putting on Wrangler rims for the winter, which stick out 1 inch more than OEM rims, due to the different offset.

I sent a request off to Husky looking to see when they would have a set of molded mud guards back in August and have not heard back; I just fired off another request and will report back IF they respond. There is another thread out here that talks about mud guards, but not specifically the Summit. The ones that did mention the Summit said the same thing that Husky is working on them and the release date keeps getting pushed back

Contacted Jeep and this was their reply

Thank you for contacting Chrysler Canada Customer Care regarding your
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, VIN: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
We appreciate your interest in purchasing mud guards for your Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. Regrettably, mud guards are not available at this time however we are anticipating their release by the end of this year.
At this time, we request that you please keep in contact with your Chrysler dealership for the most up to date information regarding this matter.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write.

With 15,000 miles on ours and living on gravel roads we traded ours
in yesterday for an 2014 Overland and it had mud flaps installed before
it left the dealership.

Our rear door trim for the wheel well was chipped very badly and we
decided to let it go before it got too much worse. We did take a little
hit on the price but I think we did ok and the Overland we got had
all the extra sensors except the front bumper sensors so we have
all the same coverage.

I just ordered the Husky mud guards for my 2014 Summit through Auto Anything. Hoping these look OEM and blend in nicely with the fender flares. No pictures on the Husky web site so taking a bit of a flyer here. Prefer not to go through another winter without something.

Just an fyi for those that have ordered, they actually are not shipping just yet and it could be a week or more before they are on a truck. Call husky for status on my order yesterday and was told they are still working with packaging

I ordered from Auto Anything on 12/1/14 and paid $4.99 for next day shipping. I received an e-mail yesterday saying that a situation out of their control has occurred and they anticipate getting the products shipped out on 12/12/14. Husky should have known they we were going to jump all over these so why put them up for sale on 12/1/14. I was really hoping to have mine installed this weekend.

I ordered directly from Husky because the other retailer wouldn't ship to Canada - I hadn't heard anything on shipment since I placed the order on the 2nd. Called them today and they said they had actually just done a run yesterday to make them so my order will likely ship tomorrow (since it's Canadian, otherwise would have been today). I'll update if I hear anything else in the way of confirmation!

Luckily it's been pouring (just under 4" of rain here, or 100mm in the last day) and it's about 50 degrees so worrying about salt, ice, and snow isn't a concern for today at least.

So even though I have not received the Husky mud guards yet I have still been speaking with vinyl wrap shops around my area. I met with a very nice business owner that it very confident that he can use an adhesion promoter by 3M to get the vinyl to stay adhered to the plastic mug guards. He actually uses Avery brand vinyl and we were able to match the lower valence charcoal metallic color of the JGC Summit to a metallic color that Avery offers. The product number if anyone is interested is:

Grey Metallic

SW 900-807-M
5706* / 5707*

I hope this vinyl wrap turns out to be a success and if it is I will be sure to post some pictures in a few weeks when I can get them done. I contemplated having them painted but with the deep snow fall we get I have seen mud guards on my other vehicle flex rather extensively and I would hate to see the paint/clear coat crack.
