2014 SUMMIT with mopar tubular side steps

Just wanted to try and help the folks out who were interested in installing mopar tubular side steps on there SUMMIT model JGC only to find out when you went to order them they tell you they don't fit your model. Well people if you want these go ahead and order them and install them. They fit the summit model with no problem. I will tell you the plastic covers they give you to hide the medal brackets DO PUSH UP ON THE ROCKER PANEL "UNDERNEATH" the vehicle which you don't even see. There are a few things I can explain to make your install a little easier If you'd like. Just know these babies bolt up perfect on the SUMMIT modal with no problems at all. They look awesome on the SUMMIT and you'd probably be the only one on the road in your area with them as I am. Hope this help folks who were on the fence getting them. Also order them on ebay as there 150.00 cheaper than the mopar site and its the SAME product.

Looks nice, just what the summit needs... More chrome! Just kidding, I have a black summit and like all the chrome. The chrome doesn't stand out as much on your color and white, vs my black one. I am regretting not getting Granite.
thanks for the info & pics!

I understand not wanting all that chrome on a black one. If I had bought black It'd be blacked out as well with no chrome.

AWESOME!! They clear the side skirts just fine! I wonder why they say they won't fit? I'm tempted to go buy some, I feel bad seeing my kids trying to get up into our JGC w/o side steps, lol. Could you get pics showing where those plastic pieces you say touch the underside of the vehicle? Does it do any denting or scratching?

Off topic: Not trying to be stalker, but I'm from Norfolk. I live in Northern VA now. And when I was looking at your pics, I was like man, why do I feel like this guy might be from Va Beach? and I see your info, lol. I feel like I've been to your neighborhood before, and I wanna say you live somewhere near TCC? Like Rock Creek? lol!

That's some stalker shit bro lmao j/k. I actually live in chesapeake by the T.C.C. though lol. As far as the boards they just push up on the bottom of the rocker panels. It doesn't dent or scratch anything. It's plastic on plastic contact. I'll take a few pics underneath when I get home to show you. It's something you'll never even see.

This is a pic of where it pushes up against the rocker panel underneath the Jeep. It's a plastic cover for the bracket to give it a nicer look. Honestly if you didn't like them pushing on the panel you can just remove the plastic covers and it won't touch anything. As far as the link

I contacted this seller and even they said they will not fit.
I am going for it anyway.
Can this plastic piece be ground down a bit so it won't touch the rocker panel instead of removing it all together?
