There is plenty of room by removing the air box on the driver side and the ecm bolted to the front of the fuse box on the passenger side. Just make sure you disconnect the negative battery lead first. I would affix the ballasts on the outside of the frame rails. and fish the wires up to the headlights. When you remove the 10mm bolt and turn fastener holding the fender liner you can bend it out of the way and get to the foglights and outer frame rail. I went the bumper route in my first attempt with the xenon depot kit and cussed myself when I realized how easy it is just to remove the air box and ecm.
That's what I will be doing, I've already changed my bulbs out and it was easy without removing the bumper. Not that it is that hard to remove it because I did when I installed the led eagle eye headlights but it's just not necessary...

You really should use a relay to power the ballasts... never the factory wiring alone. That may be asking for trouble being the 2015's are hyper sensitive to anything that lives on the Canbus system.

Make sure you can reverse anything you do without being detected.

I will definitely be making sure everything can go back to stock if need be!

No proper HID kit should NEED a relay with 35w kits. 55w I would agree.

I run relay harness for all my hids off the battery. Provides constant draw and stable draw and less issues in the long run

That's fine but if you have ballasts that are made to deal with and balance out the irregular load why waste the time and money? Makes no sense (for 35w kits specifically built for the latest canbus systems)

Just get a proper ballast and forget about relays...

Re: 2015 Altitude HID kit conversion HELP

Did anyone find anything that works? My 2015 Altitude is extremely picky. I tried various kits including Xenon Depot and they don't work. The truck with shut them off completely after a few minutes. I have the Eagle Eyes headlights and I am craving for a whiter low beam.

Go with the ddm plus canbus units I got I already talked to people with 2015+ rams and it's working without a relay just plug and play for them. I'll be installing mine as soon as it warms up its so damn cold here this week.

Thanks... I saw your post before but couldn't find a link. Would you share a link? Thanks.

*** EDIT ****

I think I found it (http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDMPlusCanbus35W). I sent them an email to see if they had any feedback on our trucks.

I would go with these as well. I have the diode dynamics kit with the module for 2015 mopars and it works well, but is more than double the cost of ddm. That being said, i wouldn't hesitate to recommend them if you want to spend the money. I am curious to see skunkd's review of the ddm, specifically warm up time, behavior in auto mode, etc.

FWIW, I also had xenon depot and couldn't get them to work right in my 2015.

Oh you found the link already! Yea I know the product isn't as good quality at the diode dynamics I was originally going with that kit as well until you posted the ddm kit was available.

I already know the ddm kit is going to work and it has a lifetime warranty but I've heard mixed reviews of ddms lifetime warranty. So don't base it just off that.

Personally, I tend to not put too much stock in any places warranty. If they work well out of the box and I have to order another set in a year I wouldn't complain. I like that the ddm kit doesn't use a separate stand alone error cancelling component as it makes the install a bit easier due to space constraints.
