I wonder if these kits (DDM and Diode Dynamics) work with DRL. I don't want to be the first to try. :-)

Re: 2015 Altitude HID kit conversion HELP

The DRL run at about half the voltage as the low beams. It may not be a safe operating voltage for HID or LED low beam kits.

They might have problems igniting, I keep DRL off. I don't want any unforeseen issues to arise because of that.

Any issues with the kits? I forgot when you installed them. I'm still on the fence about them.

So far been a little over a month, zero issues. I'm a happy camper love these things. I'll continue to update you guys if anything goes wrong but if I don't post that means they are still working perfect.

I ended up ordering a kit and intended to use them on my fogs, but decided to try them on the headlights instead (I had been using the diode dynamics in the headlights....which are now connected to the fogs). It has been about two weeks now and both kits (ddm and diode dynamics) work flawlessly. I did not keep the error canceller plugged in with the diode dynamics as it is not needed with the fogs. I highly recommend the ddm tuning kit. It is somewhat easier to install cleanly as well due to the lack of the large freestanding error canceller the diode dynamics kit uses.

Re: 2015 Altitude HID kit conversion HELP

I purchased my HID kit from HID Masters in Huntington Beach, CA and they also did the install. Everything was fine during the initial check but after 5 minutes they would stop working. The problem was that the car was not providing enough amps or volts (not sure which one) due to the automatic headlight function. Long story short they wired directly to the battery and they work great now without any flickering or error codes. This was done to my brand new Jeep in Sept 2015.

Where did you buy these headlights assembly? Do the LED eagle function as DRLs? Or only when the low beams are engaged?

Re: 2015 Altitude HID kit conversion HELP

I had an aftermarket lights shop here in jersey install my hids. Never had a problem. The guy used morimotos new line of hids with digital ballasts, harnesses and relays. Light output is amazing. The quality of light puts a lot of hids out there to shame. This dude just happens to be a perfectionist. Could be any happier with the lights
