I put OPT7 LED headlight bulbs H11 w/Arc-Glass Clear Beam kit I found on amazon. I went with these because they really seemed to be good, had excellent reviews and above all they come with CANBUS integrated chip for error free plug and play installation. Also they have 7000 lumens which is the same as any HID light kit (3500 lumens per bulb). They came with a pair of polarity inverters so that they turn on properly. To sum it up, PERFECT. I got pictures of it for anyone who wants to see how it came up I just don't know how to post them so if anyone could help me figure out that i'd appreciate it so I can share the pics.
I purchased these same bulbs, but couldn't get them to work without the warning cancelers/capacitors. Maybe I missed something with the polarity inverters, but oh well, they look and work just fine. Thanks for sharing!

My set flickered a few times but using the provided polarity inverters made it work fine. These are noticeably bluer than the stock HIDS and DRLs.

Yeah thats why they send you the polarity inverters and yeah they are bluer than the stock HIDs and DRLs but actually coming last night from NY yo NJ i noticed that actually their illumination on the road seems whiter than the stick hids, like i turned them off and on several times and made it seemed like without them on the hids look like yellowish light in comparison idk if you get what im trying to say, but it kinda made me wonder how would it look if it had those leds in the headlights. I bet in combination with the leds in the fog lights it must look super white the road

Thanks for the post.

Purchased the same kit and as stated, fantastic results. 10-minute, easy installation and look fantastic!

Thanks again!

Re: 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland LED conversion kit installed in Fog Lights

I know I have read the answer but now I cannot find it again. Do these actually put out anymore usable light than the stock bulbs or is it just a cosmetic "upgrade"? Prefer 5k VLEDs to better match headlights, but I am not going to bother changing out if the OPT7 or VLED options do not actually put out more usable light.

Re: 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland LED conversion kit installed in Fog Lights

A standard H11 bulb puts out a maximum of ~1,400Lm. H11's are infamous for poor output. Many people convert their H11's to H9's (~2,240Lm) - however they have a much shorter lifespan (~500 hours vs 2,000 hours).

The OPT7's put out 3,500Lm (with ~50,000 hours lifespan).

It's certainly a noticeable output difference IMO.

Well, I just ordered the VLED LMZs. 5k color, 3k lumens. Shall see, kind of annoyed about having to deal with controllers but I cannot find a 5k bulb without them.

The OPT7 LED kit is 5000K and they do have a much better output than the stock bulbs, its noticeable right away, you could almost use the fog lights alone at night as low beam on small streets and of course low speeds but definitely the fill much better the space right in front of the jeep. I have no regrets! By the way the OPT7 HAVE 7,000 LUMENS combined between both bulbs

These look excellent. I did a similar upgrade to the fogs on my 14 Rubicon to LEDs. I also had to use resistors to avoid flickering or any bulb out indicators. I love them. I will do this upgrade to the new Overland High Altitude once we take delivery.

Re: 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland LED conversion kit installed in Fog Lights

Just installed these in my Overland, and they look great. Install took about 10 minutes per side. As previously stated, turn the wheels away from the side that you are doing, remove the 1/4 turn plastic clip at the bottom of the felt fender liner, then remove the 10mm bolt on the felt inner liner. Plenty of room to get your hands in with these removed, and the OEM wire and connector are long enough to easily get to.

Also as previously stated, I needed the polarity inverters and the capacitors on mine, for them to function.
