Yes those do look close, are those your stock 4300k HIDs or did you change those? I'm not thrilled about the fans but if you guys say you can't hear them that is good.

Stock Jeep HIDs.

There is NO sound from the fogs that I have ever heard. Fantastic build quality. Easy to install. Clean lighting. Lots of output.

100% satisfied with the purchase!

The OPT7 add implies that you could throw them in a bucket of water and they'll work therefore I cant see there being a fan attached. Probably a large heat sink, unless I'm missing something. Either way, I'm waiting for more feedback from you guys on reliability then I might pull the trigger.

It definitely has a fan but they state it still works in water. The noise it makes spinning at the high rpms it does was my concern but the folks here are saying no noise so that's good.

What did you do with the wire wart, mount it somewhere or let it hang?

Re: 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland LED conversion kit installed in Fog Lights

Currently - it's just hanging behind the wheel well (completely out of the way and not interfering with anything). However, next time I'm at my brother-in-law's shop - I'll put it up on the hoist and make sure that I cleanly zip-tie everything a little better.

I'm in north jersey too, been looking for a place to have hid's installed on black altitude. So far nothing. 5 shops said no. Smh. Kind of heart broken at the moment. Lol. But this thread is awesome. Looking into doing this for my fog lights too.

Are you referring to the OPT7 LED or some other kit? I'm pretty sure the OPT7 are rated at 6000k color temperature.

But I don't regret at all buying these anyways!

Re: 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland LED conversion kit installed in Fog Lights

Kit arrived today and took no more than 15 minutes to install as previously advertised by other members. Passenger side light flickers once when turning fogs off. I surmise I need to tighten a connection somewhere. The color is off on a marginal basis and does project significantly more light on the road. 5K would be better color temperature and match to OEM headlights and DRL's. I can attest to being able to drive without headlights on and there is a crisp cutoff line from the projector fogs.
