2016 Grand Cherokee - Luggage System Recommendation?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good weatherproof roof luggage system for the 2016 Grand Cherokee? I want it to be large enough to hold 4 carry on size luggage bags/suitcases.

I've been looking at the Rhino Rack Aero Roof Rack System and a Thule 682 Sidekick Roof Cargo Box.

Thanks Rob

Check those out. Took on a roadtrip from Seattle - Los Angeles - Las Vegas - Zion - Denver.

Made it there, through the weather, (sun and snow), foolproof way of locking the box (you can't pull your key out without the latch in place).

That ensures you don't drive down the road with the roof box open.

What rack system are you using and do you have any issues hitting the tailgate?

Thanks

Here's the system I'm using:

Yakima - WK2 New Product Installation - Landing Pad, Corebar, Skyline Tower

I haven't run out of trunk space yet, so I've not put the Box on the WK2.

The feet on the box are adjustable, so you can move them forward or backwards based on how the trunk opens.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Luggage System Recommendation?

Hi, I use a :Thule Sonic Cargo Box, no issues, very simple to use, I basically use it to carry 2 big inflatables kayaks and all the gear (lifejackets, etc.), after using the kayaks didnt want to get all the sand and salt water inside the jeep..and not a single drop ever gets out of the box so i think that if no water comes out then there shouldnt be any water coming in right ?.
To me its been a great solution for my needs.
Rgds. and here is a pic so you can see what it looks like on top of my Jeep
