2017 Summit Front end onto 2015 Summit; Direct Fit? Has it been done?

Whatsup WK2 Fam. I'm kinda wishing I looked into this more before I bought my replacement parts but I'm all too familiar with this process of throwing money into this never ending money pit of Mods.

Short story: I got in a slow speed collision literally 3 days after purchase of my 15' Summit and recently had her put back together. I explored briefly the SRT route, but didn't want to mess with the crazy DIY of all the fenders and whatnot. (doable? Yes, worth it to me? No). So I ended up just purchasing the replacement parts and they went straight to paint.

Now that I've really been examining the 2017 Summit's I'm really liking the subtle difference (mostly the DRL/LED fog) but I really ike that its just entirely one piece.

Again, I'm NOT trying to do the SRT front. I am looking to update the front end with the 2017 Summit. Anybody out there who's attempting or in the process of tackling this please shoot me a holler.

Or... if anything of you super knowledgeable WK2 veterans out there have some good info for me please do reach out.

Semper

JR

Here's a pic of my ride, just cuz threads without pics are boring =)

The 2017 has a "filled in" portion where the black plastic on our headlight washers are.

The 2015 summit platinum looks way better than the 2017 anyways IMO. The new grills and lines are less pleasant looking.

Edit: maybe u can just remove that piece and keep the headlights

Not until you mentioned that did I really look at the grill. DAMN. Why couldn't they just have kept the way the grille looked. Oh well. Back to the drawing board. I think the mod bug just got to me. I need to try and find a nice running board. I havent seen anything I like just yet.
