I have the hankook tires and am extremely happy with them. I only run them in the summer so I can't vouche for them in any snow. They are quieter than the stock tires and look great.
I'm probably going to be doing the same thing.. I'm ordering the new overland next week and will go with aftermarket 20x10's with a .50 off-set. Plus, I'm going to do a some blackout on the mirrors, grille and rear of the car From reading the forums, I have compiled the following feedback on tires..
20x10 w/ .50 offset will fit ok on a 2014 JGC .
On the front; the wheels get close to the steering knuckle but wont rub/touch.
The front tires/rims stick out a tad farther than the tires/rims in the back
Running 20x10s in the back and 20x9's in the front is fine as along as the tires sizes are the same. If not , your going to wear out the gear-box more quickly
Hey guys I have a couple questions: 1) will the stock lugs fit the srt wheels and 2) will the eom Tire pressure sensors off my overland fit as well? Thanks
If running the stagger, would it be 20x10 w/ 50 os rear and 20x9 w/ 34 os front. Also if running 295-45's rear what should the fronts be? I want to keep the same diameter in the front but really like the staggered look and don't want the tires sticking out past the fenders at top. Thanks in advance for any help.
I believe the fronts would be 265/50-20. This should be the same circumference as the 295/45-20. By the way, I just put 295/45-20 on my Summit all the way around and the tires do not stick out past the top of the fender and look great. I'll post some pictures this weekend.
So from what I am reading, I could put either 20x9 or 20x10 on my 2014 Summit with no issues, right? Just want to be clear as to what others have done, when taking their 20x8's off and upgrading to 20x9 or 20x10.
Appreciate it everyone!
Hi all
Sorry for so many questions but jeep garage has so much knowledge and I am simply trying to figure out what mods I want to do to a gc summit once I pick it up
Stock wheels are a 20x8 with 265/50r20 tire. If I want to go to a 20x9 SRT replica wheel I am being told that the same tire fits?? That does not make sense to me. I would think I need a 275/50r20 instead. No?
I am not a fan of the stock 20s on the summit and want to replace them with black SRT replicas however I would like them a bit wider while still having a 50 series tire for snow etc driving instead of going to a 20x10 with 45 series or 22s with a 40 series.
Sorry for the long post but thanks to all for the help and advice!
sounds like you have it already figured out, if your going to go with a 20x9 and you want to keep the sidewalls at 50 then get the 275/50-R20's just find a good tire that suits your needs.
Thanks for the confirmation on the 275 vs 265. Was not sure if there would be rubbing or not. Now I just need to verify the offset associated with the wheels I want.
Thanks again.
