A newbie question about lights

Hey all. I'm sorry if my questions below are considered newb-ish but before owning my 2012 JGC I had a slew of used cars and didn't really do anything to them and never learned about the cool aftermarket stuff that can be purchased. But of course this has all changed now that I have my new car and I found this site. I would like to do a couple of things to make it more 'my style' and I have no clue where to start when it comes to lights and what I want to do. I've read lots of posts on lots of threads and I'm basically confused. Please forgive me as I'm not your typical 'car guy' and I might use the wrong lingo.
The one mod I'd like to do is to get the round LED lights that I see on so many other cars. I don't know if those are what's called Halo lights but I want that look while keeping the same (non-HID) lights that come stock. Basically I want the round/ring lighting without having to or needing to move to HID. Is that possible and if so, what are good ones that A) are meant for my car and B) are of quality? If non of what I'm saying is making sense, please let me know and I'll try to describe better what I'm looking for. Any help/suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: A newbie question about lights

Yes. Just like that except without the color. I'm not digging that particular color much. But the lights are what I'm after so long as they work just like the stock lights do and I lose no functionality with anything else relating to the lights. I'm still a bit confused about something, though. Are the 'rings' of light the actual light or is there a stronger bulb in the middle of the circle that is the actual headlight? Again, excuse my elementary questions but this is all very new to me. I'm hoping to get the lights and the chrome/stainless steel grille mesh done at once.

Re: A newbie question about lights

Thanks for the reply and recommendation. I'm still interested in knowing if making this change will change anything regarding how the lights operate. Also, will these fit exactly like the stock headlights or, since these are after market, will there be something about the fit that is off? I've been looking at some vids on youtube and there is one where the unit just didn't fit correctly and it looked bad.
I appreciate all information.

Thanks.
