A Pillar Grab Handles

What ive noticed is the lack of a pillar grab handles in the new wk2 which I actually loved in the original wk, so did my elderly mother lol. I know people will complain of the lack of visibility but I'd love to have this made as replacements to the factory plain a pillar, I know original and the new pillars are pretty far apart from fitting but any of you smart people have any idea of how I'd go about fashioning this or maybe someone here could give me an idea on something like it

Re: A Pillar Grab Handles

I have thought the same thing, but I am pretty sure that is a cost of having the head protection airbags that also extend down the A pillar. Mounting anything on the A pillar could be deadly in a collision.

Re: A Pillar Grab Handles

I'm sure I've seen some grab handles in a promotional photo that are nearly flush with the pillar upholstery. I can't seem to find that photo now. Maybe imagining it....

Great idea. I would be interested in an aftermarket solution.
