A Square Peg into a Round Hole... Rigid Installed!

Thanks to ccie-ar for actually trying this first and giving me the idea to copy.

As we all know, the factory fog lights are just useless, so I decided it was time to upgrade. However, I liked the location of them. So, I took them out, dremeled a round hole to square and fitting the WK2 with some much need light! Below are a few pictures of the install. Enjoy!

Factory

Factory hole

Side by Side

What was once a circle is now a square

Had to make sure the covers still fit

I had to trim the surround and will have to re-dip it

Both installed (with covers on)

Cover off on left, cover on on right

I am sure the lights are great, however I would spend the money on SRT fogs if installing the Rigid set means leaving the opening unfinished with exposed bolts and whatnot.

That was pretty much my thought...

Sometimes looks really do outweigh function.

I agree that the last pictures didnt look good or do it justice but It looks way better since I re-dipped the covers in my opinion. I know that it does look "stock" but that wasnt really the look I was going for anyways. Hope this sways the crowd! Cheers!

I saw your post last week and wasn't going to say anything because I didn't really care for the look. Your photo above changed my mind. Looks good with the rest of your blacked out front end. Gives it a little aggressive flair. I'm a fan.

Looks much better than the original photos. You should consider dipping visible section of the inside of the housing black as well to finish up the look.

That's one of the few14 fronts that I think looks incredible. Rigid cubes are very nice quality and the light output compared to stock is unbelievable, the fogs, now more auxiliary lights become truly useful. If you want better integration there are many options to choose from but would require the same level fabrication. These are the VisionX 10 watt spots done simply on an 11-13 but it'd be easy to use on 14+ and the light output is beyond belief. Because of the simplicity and coverage of the earlier housings I actually think I might switch to the rigid wide

Any modification needed or just simple bolt on? I have a 2013 and i looks like it would fit just fine.
