I'm with ya on this one!

Definitely think it'll look cool and add a bit of "class" to the interior. I'm a big fan of "lighting", and this this will put the interior over the top, in a very tasty way.

Im also a big fan of lighting the interior and I looked at what was on page 18 in the link above and have been unable to find the part number available either on jeepparts.mopar.com.

Also it says that it will add lightening to the cup holders, however the Overland already has lighting there. It also says you can chagne color, so I wonder if it has the blue/green color to match what is already installed in the WK2.

Re: Accessories

Check out page 18 on the link to the following pdf file. Says on "select vehicles" will light the cupholders, do I assume if they're already lit (as in the Overland) it doesn't apply.

Also mentions there's a rotary knob that allows the customer to select the "color" of the ambient lighting. Sounds pretty cool. Check it out:

Re: Accessories

Does anyone know if you can get the wooden shift knob pictured in the manual that comes with the car?

I felt bad for the last several dealer parts guys I spoke with. Many of them are struggling and fumbling with this same PDF file to find, learn, and sell WK2 accessories. One poor guy had zero idea that there was a rear cargo mat available-- because it wasn't in the PDF. I had to pull out my iPhone and offer to show him photos from JG.

Back to this lighting kit, has anyone determined what it offers above the standard Overland interior lighting, other than ability to change colors?

Re: Accessories

From what I gather, the Overland doesn't have the lighting under the front and rear occupants foot wells. Am I mistaken? Why then in the world would they offer the option, unless it's for a Laredo or another model that doesn't have the lighting? Can someone who knows please chime in?

Re: Accessories

I have added the mud flaps, and the pedals. I havent installed the brake one since it is giving such a hard time. I might try this weekend to finish that up.

My wish list is:
1) Ski rack
2) shark fin anttenna
3) The windows air deflectors once they come out with those. I havent seen any.
