Accessories

Thinking of a few items to "personalize" my new Grand Cherokee. Wondering if anyone's done them and what you think:

1.) Illuminated Door Sill Guards:

2.) Pedal Kit:
http://www.justforjeeps.com/pedalkit.html

3.) Interior Appearance - Interior Lighting:

4.) Front Air Deflector: (Does Anyone know if this comes in a "Smoke" color)?:

Re: Accessories

+1 to the illuminated door sills, pedal kit, and upgraded lighting or LED bulbs. Many members have done them, you'll find a bunch of photos and how to suggestions on each.

No experience here with the deflectors, but either that or a clear bra are good ideas to keep the WK2 looking good.

Enjoy the festoonery, resistance is futile.

Re: Accessories

I added the pedal kit. I started a thread with pictures. The pedals were not that difficult to get on but they took a little patience & finese. They are def worth the time.

Re: Accessories

The illuminated door sills are very classy and not too difficult if you are handy. Look for the good thread here posted by STIX.

Along with those, the door sill guards will provide added paint protection, and can be done in a few minutes.
http://www.justforjeeps.com/doorsillguard.html

In under two minutes you can add the fog light chrome bezels, but this is more a matter of taste, as it does change exterior appearance.

Re: Accessories

Lighted Door Sills are next on my list. So far I have added

Front and Back Slush Mat
Cargo Slush Mat
Sharkfin Antena (installing this week)

I like the looks of the chrome side steps, but not sure I want to go that far with my WK2 and I think the pedal kit will be up after the lighted door sills.

Check out http://jeepgarage.org/showthread.php?t=15587 for a install of the sharkfin. On the WK2 there is a potential group buy for a sharkfin if your interested.

Re: Accessories

I installed the Shark Fin antenna this week; took about 15 mins total. I also installed the pedal kit; as others have stated, you really have to "finesse" them on and try and avoid swearing profusely. Both mods look great....highly recommend them.

Re: Accessories

has anyone installed the mopar interior lighting kit (re: LED foot wells). at first glance it seems like overkill and not much bang for the buck on the cool factor (contrary to the lit door sills) but perhaps i'm wrong.

i'm in the process of building my accessory wishlist while i wait on my summit to arrive - so far i'm thinking about the lit door sills, metallic door sills, tow hook kit, pedal kit, sharkfin antenna, and slushmats (not sure which brand yet). any other recommendations would be appreciated.
