Add a lens over ACC sensor?

With winter weather and crappy roads, I'm noticing a collection of snow and ice in the divots surrounding my ACC sensor, and I keep getting an error message "limited FCW/ACC ability - clean sensor" on the EVIC. Has anyone fitted a piece of lexan to the fascia so it fits flush and won't catch road junk and block the sensor? At a glance when I got to work today, it looks possible...

Re: Add a lens over ACC sensor?

depending on the frequency the radar runs at, Lexan may be opaque to it.. or may cause serious antenna pattern issues..
