Aftermarket Off-Road / Spotlights WK2

Hi Guys,

Excuse me as I'm a newbie. I have searched extensively across the net for information about wiring aftermarket driving lights to my 2011 Wk2.

I have the HID headlights fitted as standard headlights and my problem is finding a "trigger" for the driving light relay.

I know you can get HID fog light kits etc for the Jeep but when you live in Australia with lots of Kangaroos on the road you need some serious lighting when driving on remote roads. I found the OE lights a bit crap really.

P.S. I love my poverty pack Grand Cherokee. My previous car was a 2009 Landrover Discovery SE and this thing gives it a real "run for it's money", for half the price.

You should look into the LED Off-Road lights bars. You can have them installed in the space next to the front tow hooks(8inch light bar) and behind the front grill.

As pointed out - check Rigid Industries - top notch LED light output. Search this forum - many light output references - heres a start:

Re: Aftermarket Off-Road / Spotlights WK2

Thanks for the replies.

I already have some ralley 2000 lights I've owned for years which throw out a really good long distance beam. Perfect for my type of driving.

My problem is wiring them to the vehicle. I need 12V trigger to activate the relay for the driving lights.

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear with my original post.

Cheers,

Mark

I notice on the centre information display a second Fog light icon appears when you pull the light switch outwards when the high beam is on.

Is there a second relay there already?
