Alternating (wig-wag) LED DRL

I am starting a position volunteering with my local FD. I was curious if there was a way to get the Front LED DRL's to alternate (or wig wag). Also if it was possible to get the outer LED ring to do it on the rear of the vehicle.

Ive seen Chargers utilize the LED ring around the trunk/tail lights as part of the warning system on police vehicles. Anyone have any idea how to make this happen?

Something similar to what the start of this video is showing (but for the jeep of course)

I'd think the companies that equip police cars and fire trucks would know exactly how to do this.

The company that did mine said they'd be able to wire that sort of thing in... I didn't go with it because I didn't want to do anything directly connected to anything that would be monitored by any diagnostics system. The end of this video looks like they tapped into the fiber optic ring with a separate LED module.

Whelen makes it. It's called an LED flasher. Check out my set up. No wig wags though. If you look in the description of the video. The company that did mine, did various jeeps with the flashing DRL. Contact them, I'm sure they can send you the module.

Re: Alternating (wig-wag) LED DRL

Factory equipped police packages on those Dodges have a harness at each headlamp for exactly this purpose. Not sure how well an aftermarket module would work on the Jeep. The factory DRL's are used for multiple purposes (DRL, blinker mode, day/night mode, etc..) and I'm not sure if a simple whelen flasher could be integrated without having something not work correctly or causing an error code. I would find a local shop that sets up police and fire trucks and see what they suggest.

Alternating (wig-wag) LED DRL

Those guys are privately contracted with NYC. I could ask my friend who knows guys at that garage if they could recommend a flasher unit for the Jeep DRL.

I got my car done there. They're open to the public. OP. If you want let me know exactly what you're looking to do. I'm going there on Monday to add a light bar to my lower fascia, therefore I can get back to you with an exact part & price if needed.

That would be a huge help. Basically all I'm trying to do is get the front stock LED DRL to alternate (wig-wag). Exactly as the new charger interceptors can do. If possible on the rear lights as well.

There's a video on the first post that paints a pretty accurate picture of what I'm looking for

Thanks
