Re: Alternative Floor Mats

I have both weathertechs and Lloyd's mats. I even live in SWFL and pretty much always have the weathertechs in I love them. The Lloyd's are nice quality though much better than the OEM carpet. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1437295110.565194.jpg

They LOOK to have a little better coverage than the Lloyds mats available for the WK2 have...

I have the Weathertechs and they do work well for slush, muck, ice, etc., and they sort of look halfway not bad with the light frost interior--but I've considered many times seeing if I could hack up some indoor/outdoor carpet to improve their appearance a bit.

Re: Alternative Floor Mats

I looked at the Weathertechs and tried a sample in a friends vehicle, but it just seemed too much like my feet were sitting in a plastic bucket.

Since I have black carpeting with tan seats/dash, I figure I'll just get a cheap set of "Walmart" black carpeted mats to put in the jeep when Winter rolls in. Then, once the Spring rains finish up, I'll put the OEM Jeep logo mats back in. Once the cheapo ones wear out from the snow and salt, I'll toss 'em and get another set for Winter.

I just installed mine tonight. The fit in the Cherokee (KL) is great. Front and Rear, once in they don't move around. The little video in the Amazon listing shows why... I choose the Kagu Rubber look, but they also have a carpet look set as well. Far better than the Mopar, in my opinion.

I just looked up their site and I have to say I like what I see. Bonus: Renewable resources are used.

They have some trippy choices for sure, but I like the Sisal, Fürstil Stripes, and Seagrass options.

The colours that seem the most interesting for the Light Frost interior, to me are:
Sisal in Tan Brown;
Fürstil Stripes in either Fern, Marina, or Coral;
Seagrass in Small weave.

I think the Sisal in Tan Brown would be a good compliment for the light frost interior. Im not entirely sold on how these mats look in comparison to the factory mats. These would definitely be more practical while looking good, but it doesnt have that luxury car feeling of having carpet.
