Alternative Floor Mats

For those that were brave/dumb enough to get the tan interior with the tan floor mats, what other options are there for the vehicle?

We all know Weathertech and the Jeep slush mats exist, but are their any other floor mats worth looking at that will keep the high end appeal of the interior without having to settle for rubber lining?

Re: Alternative Floor Mats

Don't know what to tell you. Anything short of a Weathertech or Huskyliner type of floor mat is going to be tough to keep clean. More so with a tan interior.

LLOYD makes good quality custom fit mats. Its all a lot dependent on how you use your GC. In south Florida you don't have as much concern for the mess of snow/road salt and unless you are doing something where you are always tracking mud in then Id stay with something carpeted, it looks better. The rubber and plastic ones have good purpose in the northern climate, off roading use or maybe kids tearing it up but I don't like the look of them if not needed, to industrial looking. If my carpet ones get looking bad in 2 or 3 years Ill toss them and get another set.

Re: Alternative Floor Mats

I have the Quadratech black mats front and rear. They look great IMO opinion but I do have the black and saddle leather interior.

You could always get black floor mats. They would make a nice a contrast against the tan and hold up alot better against dirt/stains.

Re: Alternative Floor Mats

The Lloyd mats might be a great alternative. They market them as being stain proof and dirt resistant. They also come in brown which would match the dash of the Overland.

I thought about buying black Jeep floor mats but I doubt it would look good considering the brown dash and light beige lower. My neighbor has the black mats in his jeep, I need to ask him if I can borrow one to see how it looks.

My first thought was to just get Scotchguard and spray down the factory mats. Maybe that will help with stains and dirt from the shoes. Plus its only $11 vs. $100+ for all new mats

You can often pickup the factory mats on ebay if you are ok with those ones, people always buying other mats and dumping the factory ones. I have two extra sets I bought there I think one set was $40 and one was $45 or something like that and they were take outs of new jeeps new or nearly new. They don't give as much coverage as the Lloyds but I don't wear them that hard, if they get scroungy in a few years toss em and put another set in.

Thats actually a really good idea. Didnt think of that one.

The problem is the color too. Ive had my jeep for 3 days now and the tan mats are already started to look gross. No rain, mud, dirt or anything, just the shit the bottom of your shoes pick up when you walk. Very noticeable on light carpet.

Does the brown interior on the summit come with brown floor mats? might be a good match to the dash

Yes the the interior brown summit comes with brown mats and the black comes with black. Mine are black and over two years old and no issues yet, one advantage of black i guess, too bad the black exterior paint doesnt stay clean more than one day lol. The summit mats are also berber a little better quality and the driver mat has rubber area where your foot heal usually digs a hole in the carpet over time. I think summit and SRT got the berber mats in 2014? Not sure what all they put them in now?

I have Husky X-act Contour mats in black and they look great with the beige light frost interior in my Overland.
