If I can't get rock rails, then this would be a good backup plan

Re: AMP Powerstep

Well! Let's be the "demand"! We are quite a few around here who wish they come up with our application. As of me, don't like the looks of the factory step bars. IMO they look real ugly and doesn't match the JGC styling! The other option I wish somebody will make is the running board style of the BMW X5. In ours it will look killer! Where do I have to sign to have Amp Research to build a set for the JGC? I want them!

Re: AMP Powerstep

The pricing and installation may deter some but putting the price of static running boards into perspective the self deploying ones are double the price of that static ones.

Re: AMP Powerstep

I haven't seen a set of steps yet that I like. Which is the main reason I'm going with these, they retract up and out if sight (hopefully).

I've seen them on other vehicles and they tuck up out of sight. May be different on this, we'll see.

They are really cool anyway

I think having nothing might be better for off road, these don't look like they could handle any impact. It would be great if they could.
