Depending on the price, I would be interested as well.

I have the Bestop Powerboards on my Ram and love them. In most cases, the AMPs and Bestop boards are identical design.

They are expensive though. I got lucky and snagged mine a couple years ago on sale and in addition got a mail in rebate. They were still almost $800.

That's not bad as long as the quality is good and the initial warranty is decent. I've seen some near 2 grand that have turned me off instantly. The steps are nice, but I don't see it worth that kind of cash to help my short elderly in-laws in and out of my vehicle.

Well! Let's be the "demand"! We are quite a few around here who wish they come up with our application. As of me, don't like the looks of the factory step bars. IMO they look real ugly and doesn't match the JGC styling! The other option I wish somebody will make is the running board style of the BMW X5. In ours it will look killer! Where do I have to sign to have Amp Research to build a set for the JGC? I want them!

For those who ordered already, keep us posted - pricing, install pricing, pics. Thanks.

The pricing and installation may deter some but putting the price of static running boards into perspective the self deploying ones are double the price of that static ones.

I haven't seen a set of steps yet that I like. Which is the main reason I'm going with these, they retract up and out if sight (hopefully).

I've seen them on other vehicles and they tuck up out of sight. May be different on this, we'll see.

They are really cool anyway

These have come standard on the upper model Ford pickups for years now. Very functional and are out of sight when closed.

Yes they do....
But...
If you live in ANY state that gets snow/ice they will FAIL in less than 3 years.

My buddy had them on 2 Expeditions, failed on both and were replaced under warranty and then he traded each vehicle in before they could fail the second time.

Now he drives a RAM crew cab with stationary tube steps.
