So when the steps are up, do they touch the car? Our summit it painted on the bottom trim piece, I'm not sure how the black steps would look or if they would mark the paint?

Looks amazing! Great job! I might do this to my Jeep one day... When the wife was pregnant she had a hard time getting in and out even in park mode so this would really help when we want our second! Also help the little ones get in and out one day

This is the instruction manual. It actually says it won't fit the summit.

They do touch the body when fully retracted. On a summit, steps would probably contact the body moldings improperly not allowing the steps to retract all the way... I'm not sure what you could do to work around that. The limited, overland and base model body moldings don't extend down as far.

This is my wife's jeep and she is pregnant and it was very hard for her to get in and out especially with the lift and tires. Now she can get in no problem. They cut her step distance pretty much in half.

Nice! Wish these would have been an option when I picked up a set of the stick side steps for the little kids to get in & out.

Re: Amp research power steps installed

Some think it's steep but I think it's worth it.

I hate the look of most steps. These are mostly out of sight when retracted. Very functional andcdrop down lower than most other steps. Plus they are pretty cool.
