I had the Laredo scuff plates and modded them to accept the illuminated door sills.. They look awesome at night!

I keep opening my door just to see them.

I even experimented with swapping the LED with a 5mm cyan bulb but they are still faint in the day and look too green in the night.

When I swapped the LEDs I used some two prong JST connectors so that I can swap back to white whenever I want. Now that I that the CYAN look too green at night and is still washed out in the day, I will be switching back to white.

Maybe I should try some blue next

Do the trim pieces have to be removed to wrap them? I am not a fan of the wood grain and would like a carbon fibre look. If the trim has to come off, how hard is it to remove?

I think for best result removing the trim would be best but it is not mandatory.

The hardest two peices to remove are the ones next to the A/C vents because the vents are attached and you have to fanagle the locking tabs to release. I did this using a long flat head screwdriver through the fins of the vent.

The trim on the doors would require removal of the door panels to access the screws from behind.

Re: Any mods to make interior more luxury like?

a cheap but tedious way to make the inside look 10 times more luxurious is white stitching on the seats, took me about 8 hours to do the middle console cover, front seats, front door trim but so worth it for $12 in supplies
