Any mods to make interior more luxury like?

I have a 2012 Laredo with black leather seats, nav, backup camera, etc. Comparing the laredo to the limiteds and other models, the interior still seems to fall flat for me (even though I love the car). I would love to swap out the interior trim for the wood (even though most people here seem to hate it) but apparently that's very expensive according to the dealer (have to buy all new door panels) or I would have to try my luck at a junk yard. Any suggested interior mods to give the car a more "luxury" feel? Thanks in advance.

I mean to get a more luxurious interior feel, go get yourself a 2014 Overland or Summit.

You could certainly add wood trim but like you, I've heard it can get really expensive.

I thought it would be nice to add the stitched dashboard cover from the overlands/summits. That's the only thing I wish my limited came with.

Hit the JC Whitney catalog... but leave off the suicide knob.

It costs over $3000.

Are we talking about the same part here? I have a hard time imagining the entire dash costs $3000...including the airbag, let alone just the top piece. It's just plastic and leather.

You can vinyl wrap those pieces wood grain or even carbon fiber depending on your taste for a fraction of the cost.

So they have wood grain wrap for the trim? Didn't know they made that. Any idea if it looks good?

There's many options with wrapping. It will look as good as the installer is. I've seen some killer carbon fiber wraps but haven't seen wood grain installed.

Re: Any mods to make interior more luxury like?

If I am not mistaken you should be able to the limited/Overland dash and door trim piece separately from a dealer if you really wanted them.

Wrapping them is a good option but you won't get the chrome strip that the Limited/Overland has on the bottom.

There are some chrome switch bezels for the power window switches on ebay they do a bit to spruce up the interior.

If you have the black interior you can add the scuff plates from the plates from the limited/overland too.

Yep those are the ones.

Since the interior color of my Laredo is Dark/mid grey stone I had to modify my scuff plates to accept the limited center.

I actually bought a used cargo area scuff plate on ebay and I am waiting for it to arrive so I can mod my greystone scuff plate.

Scuff plate upgrade options for Grey stone interiors
here is the thread is was referring to;
Lucky you that your interior is black you can just buy the parts and swap.

I made a thread ages ago with options for upgrading greystone scuff plates. I guess I will add some pics when I do the cargo area.
