Re: Anyone else with a MY2012 a bit dissapointed about the My2014 being available in

The Patrol is sold in the US as the Infiniti QX56, albeit with some minor tweaks. In the US, it's a HUGE land boat, with next to no offroad prowess. It's also HUGELY more expensive, in the range of $70k or so. It's basically a much better Infiniti alternative to the Escalade.

Probably the closest we get is the Toyota Land Cruiser. Which is again, much more money.

Answering the original question, nope. I'm very pleased with my JGC. I enjoy the design, look, and simplicity of it.

Well I'm not very pissed.

Scratch that... YES I AM!

But I'd have to wait and see what the MY2014 looks and performs like before making a final decision.

I went thru something similar with my last vehicle. My 2005 4th Gen Toyota 4Runner was replaced less than 6 months after I bought it with the 4.5 Gen 2006. We were told that no major changes would be made to the 2006 (on multiple forums by people who said they knew the inside info).

But that wasn't the truth. There were MAJOR changes to the 2006 model. So many that it was unoffically called a 4.5 Generation 4Runner. The changes included Bluetooth, MP3, Aux Port, Improved NAV, Thicker Glass, Stronger Frame, Projection Headlights, LED Taillights, and some other stuff.

I didn't expect to have the same @#$! thing happen with the WK2 since it was very new.

I just hope that Jeep/Chrysler treats current owners right regarding trade-ins.

Are you for real? Just wait for the 2020 version, I heard it's solar powered with 1000 HP and gets 500MPG

I dont think 2013 models will have a facelift, its too soon. Maybe tranny and equipment upgrades but nothing more, at least that's what i think.

How would u like to be the clueless people who buy '13s not knowing the '14s are just around the corner with so many changes? Chrysler will sit on Alotta '13s if people visit this forum before purchasing...

We are talking 2014 not 2013. 2013 comes out in a month 2014 comes out in 8 months.

Oh now it make sense.

I live outside US, by January 2013 you can have the 2014 model or you mean the production starts delivering them by mid 2014?

Here models arrive till next year, for example 2013 will be dec-jan if there re too many 2012 sometimes we get the next year model till feb.

The XF-8 is thoroughly proven, both here and in Europe.

Re: Anyone else with a MY2012 a bit dissapointed about the My2014 being available in

Just bought a 2012 Limited 4x4 V8... disappointed about MY14 being available early next year - yes, somewhat, but I didn't want to wait. I'm going to enjoy the hell out of my new SUV. And in ~2 years, I'll pick up a MY15 diesel once it's been in the States for at least a year.
