Anyone find LEDs that work well in halogen projectors?

I know there are other discussions on LEDs and I've read most of the more recent ones, but this is more of an open-ended question since LED tech seems to constantly evolve. Has anyone found LED bulbs that work well in the OEM halogen GC projectors?

Have you read through this thread yet? Lots of info.

What's the verdict on LED headlight bulbs vs. HID?

Personally, I'm not sold on them yet. Still too sloppy compared to HIDs.

Yeah, lots of good info there, just nothing definitive it seems. Almost all the compares I've seen are either too close to the visible surface or not equivalent in positioning to really get a good idea of how well they project. I haven't seen many try them in the projectors either. It seems the biggest issue still is that the retail variety just don't produce enough lumens yet.

I'm kind of leaning toward just getting better halogens or trying the H9 mod.

The LED install did not go well today.

That stinks. Sorry to hear that.

From what I can tell, there aren't really any other halogen bulbs that are that much better. It's subjective of course, but not worth the money to me.

Ever since coming from my last ride that had HIDs, I'm will forever be trying to match their brightness and advantages. I guess a retrofit will be the only solution in that respect.

Yep, same here. I miss the HIDs in my 350Z but never bothered because my vehicles since then haven't had projectors and I didn't want to bother with the full retro-fit. I figured the GC would be an easy swap but I wasn't happy with the HID kit so I'm going to try to work that out with the vendor or maybe sell it in the classifieds.
