Anyone tinker with the 2011+ Grand Cherokee HID projectors yet?

Im sure there has to be a few guys on the forums that are into lighting as well so I figured I would see if there is anyone here that has gotten into the new Grand Cherokee HID headlamps yet. On my previous vehicle (07 Acura TL), a popular mod was to replace the fresnel lenses on the HID projector with clear lens and the results were a much sharper cutoff that has a nice band of color as well. Some light output improvements were achieveable as well.

I did a search on thw web and did not come up with anything as of yet. The HID's on the new Grands seem pretty decent, but the cutoff definately lacks in the sharpness and color department. I know that the Chrysler makes it basically impossible to remove the headlamp lenses without cutting them off, but it would be cool to maybe mod the projector, and paint the inside bezel black like the SRT8. I saw one person do this one the forum on a set of halogen Laredo lights and it looked real nice.
There is a used and damaged Overland HID headlight on ebay for cheap and im thinking about buying it so I can mess around with the projector.
Post any info you guys may have.

Thanks,
James

My advice, dont waste your mney, if you want a retro get another TL and put them on
Yeah your probably right, the last thing I want to do is cut apart the headlights on my brand new Overland. I am happy with the output, just wondered if anyone has done anything yet.

Thanks for the info.

James
