auto adjust 2014 HID headlights?

I may have just seen my 2014 HID factory headlights auto adjust. After I had did my hid fogs and put in new philips XV d3s bulbs (taken headlights off jeep to install bulbs) last weekend. I had noticed the drivers side was looking a little higher then the passengers side. So I adjusted it with lights on and jeep off got it where they where even. Once I had started it and both headlights dipped down then adjusted back up.

Your headlight will do that every time it starts and the lights are on. They do a lil bow LOL

auto adjust 2014 HID headlights?

Ya at dusk I find it a little sensitive as well. I always turn them to the marker light setting at that time of day. When I start it in the garage you really notice the "bow". Also it casts these shapes on the door that kinda look like little Willys Jeeps. The dip just levels them out each time it starts. You also notice them level out when going up a hill behind a vehicle. They slightly twitch down a little to avoid glaring other drivers.

That was the first time I've ever seen them move in the garage. But my drivers side is still higher then passenger side.

Re: auto adjust 2014 HID headlights?

Your drivers side should be lower than passenger side, not even. You just need to manually adjust it down (or raise the passenger side up)
The auto level feature doesn't adjust the physical position. It compensates for instances you're carrying more weight and keeps your headlights from pointing higher and blinding people....like if you're towing something and squats the rear down.

I might take it to dealer to have them adjust them. My fogs are the same way but thought when I had put the hoen halogen bulbs in I had moved it. Cause I had taken bumper off to do the hids they shouldn't have moved. Just going to move that one myself.
