Would love to see pics of the tabs you cut off connector.

Here's a pic. I did not take a picture of the connector though as I would have to remove the dash trim which I didn't feel like doing.

The tabs I trimmed off were on either end of the connector. You'll know what I mean when you try and plug the connector into the ATC. Takes 10 seconds to trim off, then the connector plugs right in.

Re: auto climate vs manual

Here's a pic of the ATC in my Jeep, looks better than the manual and it works 100%.

Rageoffury is right just trim the two tabs off the far ends of the connector and that's it, plug it in and go.

Re: auto climate vs manual

Since I've never had an ATC equipped vehicle before, how do I know that it's working like it's suppose to and how exactly does AUTO mode work? I've been using it now for a few days and it seems to regulate fan speed/temp of air coming out depending on the temp setting you've set. That's normal I presume?

Thanks for the pics.....and thanks for the detail on the tabs on the connector. That was the only part that was freaking me out a little. Glad to hear it was that easy.

My install happened yesterday and went great as well. As others have said you just need to trim the tabs down on the connector with a Dremel tool.

Re: auto climate vs manual

Ok here's a question I haven't seen. Right now i do not have heated seats, but I plan on adding them when i finally decide on the leather choice for my car. I wonder if I order the ATC with heated seats that when I have the leather installed they can connect my heated seats up to the buttons on the ATC with full function? Has anyone done this? I'm getting ambitious about some interior overhauls LOL

Granite Crystal Metallic. May not have the Jeep, but I'll still drop in and keep up with the news.

You can probably test the sun sensor by covering it up while sitting in the sun and watching to see if the fan speed changes.

That's how mine works; the fan speed / air temp changes on its own based on the heat load the ATC senses. At first I was tempted to reach over and adjust it when it didn't seem to be just right but learned to just leave it alone as the ATC seems to control the situation well.

I was wondering the same thing, but about the oem heated seat add-on for the cloth seats. Assuming they have some sort of pre-existing wiring that the heaters plugged into, I wonder if they aren't simply controlled thru the computer r somethin' (disclaimer: I'm a total WK2 noob)
