Re: auto climate vs manual

the dealer for my used 2011 GC installed heated leather...
the buttons for the heated seats are on each seat near the forward section.

to have intergrated control would require accessing or 'knowing' the correct wires or connections in the harness...
someone with access to diagrams may have a clue.

I'm getting ambitious about some interior overhauls LOL

Whether you have the Mopar kit or the katzkin heaters installed they probably would have their own switches that would need to be mounted on the console

Re: auto climate vs manual

I installed the Dual Zone Climate Control (55111916AP) on my GC 2012. Took less than thirty minutes and it works perfectly.

I don't think I'm imagining it but there seems to be quite a bit more air flow with the new control. I'm wondering if the rheostat in the new unit has little more range than the manual controller and allows the fan to spin faster speed? Has anyone else noticed that themselves after installing it?

Re: auto climate vs manual

Thanks Milous. I would like to switch over my 2011 without heated or ventilated seats.

I can buy the climate control w/ heated seats for about 20$ cheaper than the on without heated and ventilated. Would this just result in a couple of extra buttons that don't work?

I do eventually want to add heated seats, so may be able to use the buttons in the future....

Hello all. I've searched all over but can't seem to find an answer for this also.
Just for jeeps has the ATC with heated seats cheaper than the one without like the quote says. Would it still work and just have the extra buttons there for the seats doing nothing?

Thanks in advance. I would like to do this mod after I get my Katzkin installed.

Re: auto climate vs manual

Yes everything will work except the heated seats, and in my case, cooled seats.

Awesome! I have been wondering why the unit with the heated seats is cheaper than the one without and if it will work even though I don't have stock heated seats. i don't mind having the buttons there. It may even act like a placebo effect for my wife when the leather is cold LOL

Thanks again.

My unit worked. However the heated seats and vent seats buttons don't do anything at all.
