Re: Automatic climate control CAN be ADDED to manual climate controlled vehicles

There are a lot of things you can do even with a lease, everything you see in the test bed below is attached with existing hardware and can be gone in 60 seconds.

Am still trying for a single removable tablet that does everything. Have a couple of programming issues, no big. Do not even really need the radio, just the amplifier/speakers. CD/DVD in particular is the weak point for reliability and takes up a lot of space. Better to have a remote changer if needed.

BTW I did need to machine some extensions for the seat bolt mounts, they all seem to be about 6" too short for a GC and that is not tall enough. Centers are very strong though, they do not vibrate at all.

Re: Automatic climate control CAN be ADDED to manual climate controlled vehicles

wow you have alot going on. thats cool!

what i meant when saying it was a lease was that i dont plan on keeping the car after 3 years and getting a better edition like the overland etc. so not sure putting this money into it is worth it.

i plan on pulling the 430 back out and selling it on ebay before i trade this baby in

I think I will just turn the knob manually for now... I'm still saving up for my radio

Re: Automatic climate control CAN be ADDED to manual climate controlled vehicles

I ordered the part (55111927AK) from Factory Mopar Parts (http://www.oemworldparts.com/) on Saturday and they shipped it out today.

Once I get it I'll post some pics of the install

By the way, 55111927AK is the automatic A/C controls without heated or ventilated seats for a Canadian 2011 WK2.

Rage, you currently own a Laredo?

Just looking at the design of them, does it have a "Sync" button like the one gc4x4 had?

Re: Automatic climate control CAN be ADDED to manual climate controlled vehicles

That one (55111927) appears to be $50 less than the US version (55111916). I wonder what the difference is ? Does it have a C/F toggle ?
