Interesting, mine has the manual climate control but it doesn't work like it's supposed to. I'll have them check it out on the next oil change coming up soon.

Part # 55111916AP, bought from justforjeeps.com in September 2012 for $209.04. NO heated or ventilated seat controls. It was installed in my 2011 JGC for a couple of months. Unfortunately it doesn't work correctly with the OEM remote start, it won't heat or cool until the driver's door is opened when remote start is activated. The dealer said the TSB for that issue couldn't be applied since the unit wasn't original to my vehicle, so I put the manual HVAC control back in. Other than that it works great and is fully functional if installed in a non remote start vehicle. Like new condition, as is, no returns. I will ship USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation to the USA only - $120.00 OBO shipped - paypal accepted.
sold/no longer available

Re: Automatic climate control CAN be ADDED to manual climate controlled vehicles

Just ordered mine from just for jeeps, I cant stand the manual knobs... I was looking at the remote start issue. I don't have this installed, but living in Texas it might be something I add in the future. It looks like the TSB #24-002-12 is only for 12-13 models? Has anyone tried this in a 2011? Thanks

Re: Automatic climate control CAN be ADDED to manual climate controlled vehicles

Just bought mine... and an exhaust tip. Got a set of the 18s for $150 (put Michelin M/S2s on them. Oh and an overland badge just for fun. Also added the tow hitch/wiring harness, (the factory one that requires the bumper to be cut and bezel installed). So... 28,500 for the truck (Laredo E) $350 for the hitch ($695 option from the factory... WTF), 230 for the HVAC, $150 for the rims (not including the tires, I put 15K on the stock Forteras so whatever...), $70 for the exhaust tip, AND almost forgot the $22 for the overland badge. That brings me too 29,322. Everything I want and nothing I don't.

I don't yet, but I will.... Because I think it's funny. And, it's subtle. I'll be removing "Laredo", it won't have both.

...besides, ever since I removed my "I (heart shape)'d Fallujah" sticker, it has needed something else stuck on it.

Re: Automatic climate control CAN be ADDED to manual climate controlled vehicles

FWIW, I installed my new "climate controller". Took about 10 mins, and everything works as far as I can tell. It was about 35 degrees outside, so not sure if the A/C works, but the heat works fine. Someone posted that the fan seems to have a more forceful maximum setting. I agree. I'm just so happy I don't have to "F" with two seperate knobs anymore. Tail pipe looks good too. What a sweet ride.

**Also, I believe someone posted that the screws are a #15 Torx. They were a #20 Torx on mine. I used some wire snips to cut off the tabs on the plug.

This is a great mod and anyone who has a Laredo should do this asap! Only took 10 minutes (like most have said) and looks great!
