B Pillar trim

The flat black piece on my 2014 Summit is not tight on the driver's side passenger door (front piece on the B pillar. It still has the rivet in place but it looks like it has been bent or something - the leading edge is going away from the car and it makes it look way off.

Anyone experience that issue? I am not a body guy and do not want to do irreparable damage trying to fix. Quick fix tips?

Mechanically, it has been a good car. The guys at Jeep assembly should be ashamed of the some of the fit and finish on this vehicle - several items "out of place". Obviously in a hurry and too caring.

Re: B Pillar trim

Just discovered the same thing on my Overland, and same area. Looks like it should pop back in, but doesn't. Hate making trip to dealer and wasting a few hours for only that, but it irrates me every time I see it.

Re: B Pillar trim

I believe this is the part
Exterior Ornamentation. Fits: GRAND CHEROKEE | Mopar Parts
It is the highlighted #5 left rear applique

It shows $23 for the part - all other ones are $63. May be a mistake in pricing.

Anyone know how it is held on?
Is there a glue I can put on the current one to make it lie flat.

It looks annoying/cheap and it catches wind and makes noise.

I have the same problem. The top part is out and won't snap back in . It happened going through a car wash. Going to take it to the dealer when I get a chance

Re: B Pillar trim

Found the exact same issue on the driver's side passenger door today. Did you guys have to get the dealer to install a new trim piece?

Just got the JGC back after nearly 3 weeks for the CV boot issue - don't want to go back again!

What is going on with the QC (or lack thereof) at JNAP??

Re: B Pillar trim

Dealer replaced in a few minutes under warranty. The part just took a couple of days to get in. You can probably get them to order one over the phone and then they can pop it on for you at teh next oil change.

Re: B Pillar trim

Thanks. Took a few pics and just sent them over to the dealer. Hopefully parts will be here quickly.
