Black Exhaust Tip

Hi all, I purchased the 2012 GC Altitude V6 in white. Made a few mods like Plasti Dipping the jeep, grand cherokee, and 4x4 logos as well as the chrome mesh grille. I like the way it is now, but I would like to add some sound to my vehicle by simply adding an exhaust tip. I want to know if anyone has bought or know of a good model black exhaust tip that gives a v6 a little rumble.

Thanks!

Re: Black Exhaust Tip

Your probably going to have to find a resonated exhaust tip have it welded on and then paint it whatever shade of black you want.

Flat
Semi gloss
Gloss

Most tips I see for sale are stainless or titanium.

Re: Black Exhaust Tip

I have never heard of just an exhaust tip that improves sound. And even if there are ones that change sound, I can't imagine it being for the better. Also, the problem is there is very little room behind the muffler to fit a tip. If you look under there the OEM tip is very short so any aftermarket tip is also going to have to be very short as well, otherwise it's gonna stick way out. Might be tough to do using the factory exhaust.

^^^^ what he said. I doubt an exhaust tip alone will provide better sound.

I'd either invest in a catback exhaust system (check out videos on youtube for the difference in sound) or if you just want the look, paint your oem tip whatever color you desire.

Re: Black Exhaust Tip

This is nice: http://sigcore.com/wp-content/upload...ust-system.jpg - good luck finding these, they're European parts from the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee S-Limited.

If we can get the part numbers maybe we can get that rear valence Valance for the S-Limited

Re: Black Exhaust Tip

That would be amazing if we could get the part numbers for the S-limited. Its what the Altitude should have been. I'd have to take off the tow package to accommodate the valance which would be fine by me, I don't tow anyway.

LOL that makes me want a whistler installed on the Jeep. Whooa whooaa. How embarrassing. There is a difference between the natural growl of a nice dual exhaust on a V8 and V6, that's too much, I agree with the petitions on the noise. Its just a cheap way to get around installing dual exhaust. ugh
