Black Exhaust Tip Question

My black exhaust tips didn't come with instructions and they aren't labeled (left\right). I assume I have them on right and I think they look awesome. Really enhances the rear and should have come this way stock IMO.

Anyways... Question is that I see some pics on here with others that have the black tips and it looks like the "JEEP" emblem is more toward the outside and not straight up. Just wondering if that is true or just difficult to tell from the pics. I have them seated flush on the stock exhaust.

Thanks!

Yeah, the Jeep letters are not centered, they are towards the outside.

Re: Black Exhaust Tip Question

Thanks guys. Really appreciate it. I thought they looked like they should be turned out slightly. I'll post pic later.

Have a good week.

Re: Black Exhaust Tip Question

I just installed these today. I think the Jeep logo goes straight up on the top. If you look at the angle of the tips, they follow the contour of the bumper horizontally and vertically. Mine sit nearly flush with the bumper. Maybe stick out 1/4".The screws should be in the 1 o'clock and 5 o'clock positions on the left exhaust, and the 11 and 7 o'clock positions on the right. That being said, you can install them however you like. Also makes more sense that the logo would be on the top and not off to the side, at least from OEM perspective.

Re: Black Exhaust Tip Question

Hello, I am located in New York and was looking to see if I can obtain the black chrome tip from any of you internationally. It is part 82212760. It is for a Jeep Grand Cherokee, a set of two black exhaust tips.

Or individual part 82212759 of which I would need 2.

Or if anyone wants to sell theirs - let me know urquiza.fabian@gmail.com

I would work out any shipping details with you guys or if you guys have ebay we can do the transaction that way. I am just a fellow Jeep Grand Cherokee owner who is looking for help from his Jeep brethren

Your best bet is to either obtain the chrome ones and powder coat them black, or buy them from ebay. The ebay listing says they don't ship to the US, but they do... for a steep price. Good luck.

Second the powder coating option mentioned above. Powder coating is relatively cheap, $50 or so should get you there. Drop the chrome tips off, pick them up the next day, and enjoy - nice and easy and, imo, much less hassle than shipping parts from half way across the world.
