Okay, I had pretty good results.

I drilled only the center tab and inserted a stainless steel hairpin cotter. I'm happy with the results.

everyones got to realize these parts are HANDMADE and wont be perfect! My rear step is perfect...but the mirror covers took some persuasion(sp?) But if you look at the covers and how complex...its a complete miracle ANYONE can do them. They are actually 2 molds combined into 1 part for each mirror. And thye arent stick on covers....they install similar to the oem covers. Same with this grille! Thats amazing work for a handmade part...amazing!

I agree they are amazingly well crafted...I was just trying to offer up a possible solution that didn't require a drill as I wasn't aware there were tabs on the inside
