Yeah, that's what I was taking about. It's wrapped in gloss black vinyl.

Re: Black Ops NON SRT front lower valance

Ok guys, I got my Jeep back from the body shop today...

The Black Ops lower valance was installed and I had the rear bumper and the rocker panels painted to match...

The body shop did not do a good job installing the Black Ops bumper so i removed it and installed it properly. They didnt screw the tabs down so i had to remove the valance and bumper and screw them down and re install it. It was 32 degrees so i couldn't get the Black Ops valance to stretch that much so its a little off. I will have to go back when its warmer and get it stretched out more.

The body shop also did not tape off the lower mesh and they painted it.. Im going to have to go back and paint the mesh black again..

But after all of that, Im really happy with the end product... It makes the Jeep look more aggressive...

Keep up the awesome job Black Ops, great product..
I also wanted to thank forum member Taquache for driving to Austin from San Antonio to come help instal the bumper properly..
His 2007 Jeep GC Diesel was in the background of a couple of the pix..

Picture Time!!!!!

Re: Black Ops NON SRT front lower valance

Looks awesome mate, all you need now is the 22" SRT reps, that'd finish it off nicely. My bodyshop didn't take my bumper off either to put the clips on, its still a job i need to get round to doing when / if the rain stops, how hard was it to remove the full bumper.

I know. I really want those 22s, I will sell the altitude wheels first.

Man, it was easy to take the bumper off. Seriously 2minutes (now that I know how to do it)

There are two plastic rivets in the fender well that need to be cut off and a 10mm screw that needs to come out, then Repeat on the other fender well. Open the hood and tug on the grill to unsnap that.

Now the scary part. Tug on the wheel well trim to unsnap that, not the whole trim only past the bumper. Then pull on the bumper right under the headlight and it comes right off.
You have to pull hard, don't be scared it won't hurt anything.

Cheers, I have bought replacement rivets but haven't got round to doing the job, but as it sounds an easy job i'll have a go at the weekend if its not raining, don't suppose you suffer from that problem much at the moment.

Very nice! Any chance of some daytime photos soon? Of course, after you're done showing it off around town.
