Re: Black or Chrome Window Trim Opinions?

I like the black, but IMO it makes the car "look" cheaper.

Re: Black or Chrome Window Trim Opinions?

Appreciate all the feedback- thank you. Was curious to see if there would be an overwhelming response saying the black trim was the way to go. I've been pretty determined with most of my mods but just not convinced I'll like this better than what I already have going on. While part of me feels it would be a cleaner look, the other part of me thinks I need that window trim chrome against my black exterior to break things up a little and keep the look consistent with wheels and lettering.

Thanks again to those who commented and voted! 274 views and only 18 votes??? C'mon people, click a button and hook a brother up next time!

I voted chrome... It looks good with the painted mirror caps...

Re: Black or Chrome Window Trim Opinions?

I voted black...............as it's what I plan to do.

But I have Mineral Grey so the contrast will still be there.

Re: Black or Chrome Window Trim Opinions?

Chrome looks much better. Black cheapens the look of it.

Re: Black or Chrome Window Trim Opinions?

Bringing this one back, but I vote black IMO.

I just blacked out all the badges, lettering, back light trim and window trim on my True Blue. Looks awesome and doesn't bring the appearance of quality down at all and in fact compliments the other flat black trim pieces.

Obviously this is a subjective thing, but I see some of the new higher end Jeeps with the chrome trim, especially on the front lower lip, and hate it. Other times, depending on the color, I think it looks pretty good. Either way, I've never been a chrome fan and at the end of the day, I can go back to it whenever I want thanks to the plasti dip. Dislike it if you want, but the stuff is genius and doesn't hurt the car in any way.

Re: Black or Chrome Window Trim Opinions?

I agree with pinetar completely. I really don't like the excess chrome. Just started the blackout process on my '14 Limited and man I love it! So far the window trims, mirrors, rear tail lights and rear step guard are done. Cannot wait to finish with the front chrome pieces and roof rails.

Very nice Wilee!! How difficult was to do the window trim? You are not going to do the door handles?
