It'll save you from having to peel up the entire thing just to fix one area in the future.
I saw that fix it video they made, but wasn't feeling like going through patching up all these areas again. I'd have to mask off quite a bit and I was just over it. I'm still using it for the emblems and fog bezels, but the rest of the chrome trim will be vinyl wrapped eventually. It's just a better long term solution and I'd rather not have to deal with the worry of the dip all the time.
Also considering powder coating the wheels as that was definitely the most troublesome area for me using the plasti dip. It's a pretty lengthy process, but worth it for the quality.
